Cook Islands Tour - 28 Aug - 5 Sept

Published Sun 06 Sep 2026

43 members toured the Cook Islands for a week where they ate, drank, swam and snorkelled at the Edgewater Resort, where they were also entertained by dancers and music every night. Coral and fish viewing was ideal in plenty of sunshine. Some members even swam and snorkelled with the turtles.

Members were treated to a beautiful morning tea after a Cook Island Christian Church service on a Sunday morning and heard the beautiful singing in Cook Island Maori language by the congregation.

Most took a short flight to Aitutaki island with a catamaran cruise to swim and dive in some of the greenest, cleanest water in the world.

Highlights included a 3 course progressive dinner, which gave members the opportunity to hear of the lives of local residents; a visit to a local primary school, where members donated stationary supplies; the Highland Paradise Cultural centre and a sunset dinner at one of the island’s best restaurants – Tamarind House.

Members have widely expressed their thanks to Jean Geurra for organising the trip with the aid of David and Kylie Bantoft of All about Travel.
