Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway tour – Friday 24 April

Some members had an excellent morning at the Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway, where we were received a talk on the Kokoda Track and its history.
We then followed a guide through beautiful, established gardens, passing memorials along the way, each laid out to represent the staging points of the major skirmishes and each having its own story. Wreaths had been placed on many of these memorials at an Anzac Day ceremony last week.
Many thanks to Keri for organising a very interesting morning, appropriately on the eve of Anzac Day.
